This printing is a special edition of the LSB New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs because it has the book of Genesis inserted in the very front. 316 Publishing produced this in partnership with Answers in Genesis and it opens with an introduction by Ken Ham. 316 Publishing does not offer premium bindings of this special edition and we wanted to do a rebind that upgrades that faux leather cover to a premium cover.
The leather for this rebind is premium veg-tanned goatskin from Siegel Leather. The cover is black and the lining is the same goatskin leather but in a mocha color.
The perimeter lining is handstitched using saddle stitching in black carriage thread. The yap is slightly more than a quarter inch.
The spine was reinforced with a fresh piece of bookbinding cloth, PVA glue, and a simple Oxford hollow. It has black headbands and two double satin ribbons, a black and a blue one.
The spine has three raised hubs and it says “LSB” in blind stamping.
There’s no gilding — the exterior of this is pretty minimalistic. A lot of Bibles you’re seeing these days are starting to take on this clean, simple look.
